A song for

We've been talking about nothing I wouldn't have missed it for the world The game's up on the wall We talk between the plays Still warm out on your porch Under that wide Texas sky The songs we couldn't sing last time Are the ones we sing tonight It's good to be here It's good to be here with you All these songs we didn't know Have got our voices in them now It's good to be here It's good to be here with you I put on one I grew up with You turn it up some more The kids have made their plans again Before we reach the door Next time it's at ours And you're all coming too It's good to be here It's good to be here with you All these songs we didn't know Have got our voices in them now It's good to be here It's good to be here with you Someone gets the words wrong Then laughs and carries on The rest of us join in Till the wrong words are the song It's good to be here It's good to be here with you All these songs we didn't know Have got our voices in them now It's good to be here It's good to be here with you
